Tek Yew was most recently the Vice Chairman of Oliver Wyman Singapore (a Marsh McLennan “MMC” business) as well as their Head of Insurance for Asia Pacific.
During his consulting career, Tek Yew has worked on major change programs for leading insurers in Asia as well as industry wide transformation projects such as the modernization of Singapore’s payments sector with the MAS and the introduction of new blockchain initiatives to banks and insurers. He has also advised other Asian and Middle East central banks on Payments and Innovation. Regardless of the industry that he is in, Tek Yew is known in the marketplace as a transformation specialist and change agent with the ability to both develop the change strategy as well as to execute the change itself.
Aside from his consulting leadership roles, Tek Yew also has significant experience in private equity and venture capital and still serves as an advisor to a number of fintechs in Asia and overseas.
Tek Yew was also the founding co-chairman of the crpyto-assets sub-committee of the Blockchain Association of Singapore and has been advising companies and banks on the implications and opportunities of Web3.0.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Tek Yew had senior roles in KPMG, PwC Consulting and Hewlett Packard which have provided him with a breadth of experience covering strategic transformation, risk management and technology enablement.
He is now an adjunct professor and advisor to the NUS-Asian Institute of Digital Finance which was formed jointly by the National University of Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He is also a Senior Advisor in Boston Consulting Group.
